Photos: THE RE-UP
I couldn’t really title this post “THE RE-UP Recap”…only because I was only there for a good hour and a half…two hours tops. Blame it on work for missing the day’s festivities. I got there around 8pm and despite how late I was, it was still pretty crackin. It was fun catching up with people I haven’t seen in awhile, including my kindergarden friend Michi! Haha Make sure you stay tuned for next month’s party. It’ll be worth it.
PS. For some reason Roy and Evan are in half of my pictures…lol. And check out Unscripted’s blog for more of a recap.
Great Company. Great Music.
Man have I been busy. The past two weekends have been crazy but filled with a lot of fun and laughter. Last weekend one of my closest friends got married (which I will post later) and this weekend was full of great company and good music. Friday night I headed out with some of my girls for an all girls dinner at Limón on Valencia in San Francisco. The food was freakin delicious. We tried a prefixed menu that served three of the cold appetizers, three warm appetizers and three of the main dishes. The sangria was pretty damn good…probably even better than Cha Cha Chas…
I had work all day Saturday and then headed out to Santa Clara with my friend Trae for the J Boog concert. I effin loved it. It was nice to be one of the shorter ones in the club. Haha
J Boog was awesome and if you don’t know who he is…maybe you’ve heard his song “Let’s Do it Again”. It makes me wanna be in Hawaii soooooooo bad.
Sunday I managed to make it to work in the morning and later that night headed out to Yoshi’s in SF for Goapele’s concert. It was probably the third time I’ve seen her in concert and she’s just as amazing as the first time. If you’ve never seen her, I suggest going.
Augs and Trae put me on a new artist by the name of Mateo and he happened to record a song with Goapele. So he showed up on stage with her to perform it. I absolutely love this song and can’t get this shit out of my head.
Successful weekend to say the least. Now to tackle this coming week and have another awesome weekend.
Cookies for a Cure
My friend Jessica Gee created C.U.M.F.O.R.T.S. (Contributing Unconditional Means For Research, Treatment, and Support) blanket when she joined Team in Training of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. With C.U.M.F.O.R.T.S. blanket, Jessica does not only fundraise to donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society but she also helps a person in need. With every monetary gift that someone contributes, Jessica hand crochets a 6″x6″ square. When a certain amount gets donated, each square is put together and turned into a blanket for someone that is battling leukemia. Each blanket represents $1,000 towards the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
This Saturday my good friend Regina is teaming up with Jessica to host a bake sale. Regina is a foodie and loves to bake so she is donating her time and delicious delights to help raise money for C.U.M.F.O.R.T.S. blanket. Both Jessica and Regina will be at Dolores Park in San Francisco this Saturday from 12pm-4pm. All items will be $1 and ALL PROCEEDS will be donated. So if you’re free, come out to enjoy a day in the park with delicious treats and help contribute for a good cause!
And P.S- Regina bakes really yummy treats!
Outside Lands 2011 Lineup
Every year San Francisco has a 3 day music and arts festival in Golden Gate Park called Outside Lands. I’ll admit that I’ve never gone, but living across the street from the park allowed me to hear the music, see a ton of people going to the festival, and enjoy hearing the crowd scream for various artists performing. Past events included bands and artists such as Kings of Leon, Chromeo, The Strokes, Incubus, Daves Matthews Band, M.I.A, Black Eyed Peas, Beastie Boys, and more. How do I know this since I’ve never been? I’ve been wanting to go for the past 2 years but I always decided too late and couldn’t get the days off. This year, I’m on it and Outside Lands has released the lineup for this August!
I believe the 3-day passes go on sale this Thursday April 14th at 12pm PST and I think tickets for single days will be at a later time. We’ll have to find out on Thursday!

Photos from this past week. Went down to City hall, Coit Tower, and the Ferry building where the lights are glowing orange. I couldn’t actually go to the victory parade, but the boyfriend took my camera and got some shots.
