Saturday with the Ladies
This past Saturday the girls and I had a date to go rock climbing. Some of us haven’t gone in a few years so we needed to refresh our memory by taking a quick lesson. We then spent another a couple hours climbing.

This one was a little hard. Kim trying to stay on the orange path but there’s this one corner that was hard to get past.
This is the same place where Kim got stuck in the picture above. That corner was kind of hard but I was able to get past it. That shit made me so tired after!
So Meiche wanted to try a 5.10 which is harder than what most of us were doing. So for the last climb, Meiche tried the 5.10 pink path while Reg climbed an easier one next to Meiche so they could meet at the top. Obviously Reg had to chill a few times up there so she did things like this…lol.

Coachella Day 3.
The third day of Coachella was probably one of the best days. The weather was great and because it was the last day we had to live it up!
Tello and I headed there early since he wanted to see Band of Skulls. Since you can hear everything from the main stage at the beer garden, we decided to chill there and grab some drinks while we waited for the other car of people to get there. By the time they got there Santigold was up.

Snoop! We were kind of far for this. I’ll be honest. I lost track of time and was too into the hot link I was eating. By the time I was done we heard the music start. It was still awesome watching Snoop, Dre, Kurupt, Eminem, and 50. Can’t forget the resurrection of Tupac. Which btw, when you’re far like we were…we couldn’t tell if someone was acting as Pac or what the hell it was. Although I had heard rumors or a hologram before the show, it was still kind of weird and we didn’t know how to feel about it. Lol
I had an awesome time and although I’m currently sick, it was well worth it! Until next year Coachella. I’m definitely coming back.
Coachella Day 2.
It was nice and sunny the second day of Coachella. I was happy it cleared up! But for some odd reason I ended up wearing pants that day. Maybe because I was scared it was going to be hella cold at night.

Coachella Day 1.
If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter then you know I headed to Coachella this past weekend. Sorry if I flooded your timelines with photos! It was my first time going and although my original plans, along with my second set of plans, didn’t work out I still had a great fucking time. I took a ton of pictures and because of that I’m going to have a post for each day I was there. The festival started on Friday but I flew down to LA on Thursday to meet up my friend Mike. His friends rented a condo for Coachella so we headed down to Palm Desert to meet them. Weather forecasts predicted rain on Friday but luckily it wasn’t pouring. We had some sprinkles here and there, but nothing too major. It was definitely cold by the end of the night though.

Heeze’s Bday-Night One.
Last week we celebrated my cousin Karl’s birthday. He’s not my real cousin, but you know how it is in the Bay…somebody always knows someone else you know. In this case…his family and mom is friends with one of my uncles. So last Thursday we headed out to Nightlife at the Academy of Science. It was pretty cool even though I was only there for the last hour or so. Unfortunately I didn’t get to see all the exhibits…meaning someone has to bring me again. Lol

Weekend
I started off my weekend by running errands all morning and early afternoon on Friday. That night I headed down to the ball park for Battle of the Bay aka Giants vs. A’s. I missed out on the snuggies that night 
It’s okay though, I have one from last year…except mine doesn’t say world champs on it. We found out that one of the best places to stand and watch the game is the second floor of where the Coke bottle is. For one, you can see the game better than if you’re standing in the standing room area. Second, you get to people watch; I saw two different guys in handcuffs and I saw people I knew that had no clue I saw them. Haha
After the Giants won in the 10th inning (yes I had to throw that in there), I headed out to Pier 23. The homies from Lifted Roots were performing and it was a chill ass reggae night.
The next day I headed down to San Mateo where my friend Jess was having a garage sale to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I brought a lot of stuff to donate but then I of course ended up buying some stuff. Mainly books.
I think I donated about 15 pairs of shoes…two pairs being my shoes for junior and senior prom.
There was a litte girl next door that made cupcakes to sell…then she gave all the money she made to Jess to donate. Cutest thing ever…and delicious cupcakes!
My cousins from Vancouver/Richmond were visiting…no need to explain this picture. Boo Canucks! Lol
I ended up going out Saturday night but I was too busy being all over the place that I forgot to take my camera out of my purse. Trae and I hit up Bruno’s first and then we headed over to Minna. Fun nights like those are always the best.
High 5′s & Apple Pies
So back to our trip to Seattle/Tacoma…we flew in early Saturday morning and checked in early at the hotel. Then we headed to a restaurant called China Star. Pat’s girlfriend’s family owns the restaurant and so they held his graduation lunch there.

Pat’s girlfriend Jenny brought us to a flight simulator! I probably had the most fun here. Haha The machine actually moves like you’re in a plane and when you walk inside it’s like you’re in the cockpit. The windows are a big screen so you can set what airport you’re flying out of. Ours was set to SFO of course.

After that we headed to Seattle to drop some people off at the Space Needle.
Then we headed to High 5 Pie. Reg is a foodie and found this place online. They’re known for their various kinds of pies; pies in a jar, “cutie pie”, lollipop pies…I didn’t really take any photos of the pies…because we ended up eating them…but Reg might have some pics on her blog. It was SO delicious. Reg ordered a peanut butter & chocolate pie that was seriously one of the best tasting pies I have ever had. Besides my apple cutie pie and lollipop pie, I ordered a chocolate cream pie that was pretty good. It wasn’t too heavy like most chocolate pies are. But it was still filling with chocolate delight! Like I said, I didn’t get pictures of the place or all their pies, but I loved the way the place looked. It has that vintage 1950′s look to it with vintage looking appliances.
After that we headed to Paseo. Reg really wanted to try the pulled pork sandwiches which is what they’re known for, but unfortunately they were sold out and we ended up getting a regular rice place dish. I got the chicken which was good but a little dry.
After that we met everyone else up at the Underworld Tour. Something I didn’t know about Seattle, it’s pretty much built on top of another city. So the photos I have are actually underground where there were once buildings and streets. The tour was pretty funny because it was vulgar and talks a lot about whores and prostitutes but at the same time it was interesting.

My Pacman Weekend
While half of the Bay Area was in Vegas for the Pacquiao fight, I had a chill weekend with the homies from Philly and a taste of my past.
Meesh and Portia were home visiting from Philly so we brought them to our old stomping ground at a Mediterranean Restaurant called Pride of the Mediterranean on Fillmore. To be honest, I don’t usually order food there. If anything I’ll order fries (so typical of me). But if you wanna chill with some hot tea and hookah it’s definitely a good place to go. Make sure the owner, Sharky, helps you out. He’s a really cool guy and always takes care of his customers.
The next day I spent the afternoon in Chinatown. I headed for the Cameron House Carnival. Cameron House was originally a missionary for Asian women during the late 1870′s. For years now they’ve held summer day camps, youth groups and many other programs to help the community. My parents used to go to Cameron House and before my freshman year of high school they forced me to spend the summer as a day camp leader. I hated the idea of it but once I started going I grew to love it. I got to meet a ton of great people, including some that I’m still in touch with, and I give all the credit to Cameron House for teaching me how to get around in the city (I lived in the suburbs at the time). Every year Cameron House throws a carnival to raise money for day camps and youth groups and since I didn’t go the last few years I decided I should go. I definitely felt old. Majority of “my kids” (the ones that I was a leader for, meaning they were anywhere from 1st-8th grade at the time) are in college or have already finished college. But it was good seeing some familiar faces. Btw, have you ever watched The Pursuit of Happyness? I believe the basketball scene was filmed on the upper deck basketball court there (I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure it was).

Later that night, after getting chicken wings and my favorite chow fun from Chinatown, I headed to Augs’ place to bbq and watch the Pacquiao fight. The homeboys were in Vegas and so the girls (+ Fern) decided to bbq.

Great Company. Great Music.
Man have I been busy. The past two weekends have been crazy but filled with a lot of fun and laughter. Last weekend one of my closest friends got married (which I will post later) and this weekend was full of great company and good music. Friday night I headed out with some of my girls for an all girls dinner at Limón on Valencia in San Francisco. The food was freakin delicious. We tried a prefixed menu that served three of the cold appetizers, three warm appetizers and three of the main dishes. The sangria was pretty damn good…probably even better than Cha Cha Chas…
I had work all day Saturday and then headed out to Santa Clara with my friend Trae for the J Boog concert. I effin loved it. It was nice to be one of the shorter ones in the club. Haha
J Boog was awesome and if you don’t know who he is…maybe you’ve heard his song “Let’s Do it Again”. It makes me wanna be in Hawaii soooooooo bad.
Sunday I managed to make it to work in the morning and later that night headed out to Yoshi’s in SF for Goapele’s concert. It was probably the third time I’ve seen her in concert and she’s just as amazing as the first time. If you’ve never seen her, I suggest going.
Augs and Trae put me on a new artist by the name of Mateo and he happened to record a song with Goapele. So he showed up on stage with her to perform it. I absolutely love this song and can’t get this shit out of my head.
Successful weekend to say the least. Now to tackle this coming week and have another awesome weekend.

Thanks for the birthday greetings last week everyone! I haven’t had time to blog about it because I was hungover the next day, went to work the day after that and then headed to LA for the weekend. I actually didn’t do much on my birthday but the night before was when I partied. We headed to Sloane Tuesday night for my midnight birthday shot. I don’t know what I was thinking trying to go snowboarding the next day (which btw, didn’t happen)! Thanks to everyone who came out. I realized what great friends and support I have in my life.
