Gym Time Playlist

So in the past I’ve posted my sexy time playlist and my sleepy time playlist. Now it’s time for my gym time playlist. I swear I’ve gone to the gym more this year than I have in the past three years and I’m glad to say that I FINALLY got into the routine of it. I think I have physical therapy to thank. Once I stopped going, my knee started hurting again so it forced me to workout on my own. Now usually I’d workout to alternative music, mainly Linkin Park…the Meteora album. But lately I’ve been dipping into what I like to call “Vegas” music. It gets me going on the elliptical. But one genre of music that you might not think of listening to at the gym is reggae, especially dancehall reggae. It sounds kind of weird, but when I listen to it at the gym I imagine music videos. And then I think about how the girls usually look really sexy dancing to reggae and then it pushes me to want to look like that. WEIRD, I know. LOL But here are some songs that I personally listen to at the gym.

Am I the only one that thinks these lyrics are fucked up? Lol The chorus at least? It’s like when you’re at the club and they turn on the lights…”lights are on, everyone’s ugly!”. I seriously started laughing when I heard this in the car last night. Not saying the beat is whack or anything. It’s kind of catchy…but really? It’s like basically saying you want to put a paper bag over a girls head. Lol Even one of my boy’s asked what girl would like this song. And I’m sorry Chris Brown…you ain’t Sisqo with that hairdo.

Great Company. Great Music.

Man have I been busy. The past two weekends have been crazy but filled with a lot of fun and laughter. Last weekend one of my closest friends got married (which I will post later) and this weekend was full of great company and good music. Friday night I headed out with some of my girls for an all girls dinner at Limón on Valencia in San Francisco. The food was freakin delicious. We tried a prefixed menu that served three of the cold appetizers, three warm appetizers and three of the main dishes. The sangria was pretty damn good…probably even better than Cha Cha Chas…

I had work all day Saturday and then headed out to Santa Clara with my friend Trae for the J Boog concert. I effin loved it. It was nice to be one of the shorter ones in the club. Haha

J Boog was awesome and if you don’t know who he is…maybe you’ve heard his song “Let’s Do it Again”. It makes me wanna be in Hawaii soooooooo bad.

Sunday I managed to make it to work in the morning and later that night headed out to Yoshi’s in SF for Goapele’s concert. It was probably the third time I’ve seen her in concert and she’s just as amazing as the first time. If you’ve never seen her, I suggest going.

Augs and Trae put me on a new artist by the name of Mateo and he happened to record a song with Goapele. So he showed up on stage with her to perform it. I absolutely love this song and can’t get this shit out of my head.

Successful weekend to say the least. Now to tackle this coming week and have another awesome weekend.

J sent me the link to this video along with a comment saying “best music video”. After watching it, it’s pretty entertaining considering how many actors are in it! Seth Rogan, Elijah Wood, Danny McBride, Orlando Bloom, and more! Their new album, Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, is set to release this May. Definitely something I might have to pick up!
