Falling Apart
I’ve been sick ever since Ian’s birthday last week. After Motif last Thursday I started having lower back pain. Then after Ian’s BBQ on Saturday I got sick! A week later I finally went to the doctors.
This is the cure:
Sudafed for my congestion
Robitussin DM for my cough
3 Advils 3 times a day for my back. Along with…
Back exercises
A new mattress
Geezus.
X-Files: I Want to Believe
I was never really into The X-Files, but a friend of mine absolutely loves the show and so I ended up watching the first movie at his house one night. I get entertained easily so I actually liked it. Even though I never watched the shows, the next movie is coming out on July 25th and I think I actually want to watch it. Just gotta find someone to watch it with me!
Miss USA Falls
I thought it was funny that Mel B. from The Spice Girls and Jerry Springer were the ones hosting the Miss Universe 2008 pageant. But apparently that wasn’t the highlight. During the ball gown competition with the top 10 contestants, Miss USA either tripped on the train of her dress or tripped on the stairs. Maybe it was a little of both?
Poor girl!
July 11th part 2
I headed down to 3rd Ave in San Mateo to meet up some of the boys. There was a girl standing outside this optometrist passing out free samples of frozen yogurt. Not only did it look really nice inside, but they also sold frozen yogurt! I was reading a review on Yelp.com and I guess they give free fro-yo to customers that come in for appointments so they can eat it while they wait. I should start going there for my check ups. Haha
Later that day I headed downtown with the parents to have dinner with some family visiting from Canada.
My uncle made a reservation at R&G; Lounge on Kearny in Chinatown. I’ve always drive by this place and it always seems like they have a line out the door. I found out that it’s a pretty high end Chinese restaurant. My uncle ordered a ten course meal that was well over $400.
The crab was SO good. I usually don’t order crab but if it’s front of me of course I’ll eat it. I believe this restaurant is an equivalent to Thanh Long which is another restaurant on Judah St., known for the crab and garlic noodles.
Me and little cousin Ella eating our buns.
I was looking at the buildings outside and i saw this building with these statues on it. Shit looks scary as hell…why would you ever want that on a building?!
We walked around Chinatown for a bit and my parents brought me to a bakery where my mom just HAD to get a coffee crunch cake. My dad informed me that he used to live in the apartment on top of the bakery when him and my grandparents first moved here. It’s interesting finding out where your parents used to live and imagine how it was for them growing up. Did I mention it was my parents wedding anniversary? Happy anniversary to them!
The next day I headed over to my brother’s old apartment…which is also my neeeeew apartment! Kind of small but I think it’ll be a good size for me.
Just gotta find out how I’m going to fit all my clothes in this tiny closet!!
July 11th part 1
We started the weekend off celebrating Ian’s birthday Thursday night at Motif in San Jose. Just a few pictures from that night.
I go way back with every single one of these girls.
The next day was Ian’s real birthday and some of the folks headed out to Vessel that night. I decided to chill out and actually stay home on a Friday night. The next day I headed to Ian’s house in Foster city where everyone was chillin.
We haven’t seen this chick in a minute!
Once the oysters were out…everyone was on a mission!
This is how it pretty much looked like after 5 or 6 hours of drinking.
Cheers to Ian!
I know some of you guys want the pictures and to see all of them. Just message me and I’ll let you know how to get em’!
Fire. Pride Weekend. Giants vs. Dodgers.
Wow I haven’t posted in awhile. Summer school started so I’ve been busy working in the day time and having night class 4 nights a week! Sucks. But keep encouraging me to go to class! It’s only for the rest of the month. Haha
Anyways, these California fires have been going on for awhile. A couple weeks ago, San Bruno mountain was on fire. It started in Brisbane and worked it’s way up the mountain and started burning on the other side. This was the view from my house.
It was still burning at night.
These California wildfires are still going on and the air SUCKS. Try your best to put out cigarettes, no ILLEGAL fireworks!, and just watch out in dry areas. The firemen are probably tired!!!
A few days later, during pride weekend, I headed to Dolores park with Augs to meet my cousin. Crowd was crazy.
I went to the Giants vs. Dodgers game Saturday with a few of my coworkers.
This is what happens when you hang out with people that have Blackberry’s…all three of them!
Yea…too bad we lost the next day…
Little Liao’s Cotillion
Being the youngest of four girls, Jackie was finally turning 18 and growing up! I got the privilege of coaching Little Liao her first year in high school on the frosh/soph volleyball team. Even though I don’t see her much, I’m friends with her older sisters so I was invited.
Meesh (Liao #3) and her cute ass baby cousin!
Me and the birthday girl (Little Liao)!
They had a bowl with gold fish for their center pieces…the person that should’ve taken the fish home left early, so I decided to take them home. Too bad they died after I changed the water. Mike called me a fish killer. 😦
Warm nights and BBQs
I went out with some of the folks Thursday night. Noticed this quote on my Hennessy bottle and I liked it.
We headed downtown to Azul and on the way home the weather was still so nice that we ended up in Union Square.
Woohoo, look at the David Beckham ad on Macy’s.
We parked right next to Niketown…I loved the new bill board on top of the building.
The next day I ran a bunch of errands.. I really really REALLy needed to get my car washed. The boys wrote on it one day and I swear it still didn’t come off after I got a car wash…you guys owe me a paint job!
It was soooo clear by my house. I could see across the bay…
Father’s Day
BEST BROTHER/SON EVER!
I must say my brother’s the nicest EVER. Even though I owe him some $ (teehee) I get all his hand me downs like his old TV and even his iMac computer! Thanks Bro!
This Father’s day he got my Dad this…
My dad’s very first motorcycle!
My dad JUST got his motorcycle license and it just so happened that my brother’s friend was selling his motorcycle. So my bro got it for him. HAPPY FATHER’S DAY DAD! Doesn’t this totally beat the present from me, my sister, and my brother in law for Father’s Day?–The Bucket List dvd. Haha I love my crazy family.
Random Pictures + Adapt Clothing Photo Shoot
The other day I decided to take bart to the Homeroom office since gas is so expensive. I was originally going to ride my dad’s bike to bart but it was a little too big and i almost fell off it a couple of times. So instead I drove to bart and brought my skateboard with me to get around the city. Haven’t been on my board in awhile…
Friday I went to Mighty for the Wild N Krazy Kidz Anniversary Party. I can’t believe I FORGOT my CAMERA!! They had a mechanical bull and everything!
Yesterday I headed to my friend’s photo shoot in Oakland. His clothing line, Adapt Clothing, is now in TRUE along with TRUE East. He also has his line on Karmaloop.com…you can check it out here. My friend Karl showed up along with Arnelle.
She was rockin these kicks from Creative Rec while I was getting gum on my shoes all day…grr. I also bought a pair of Creative Rec’s which you’ll see later…
The man behind Adapt Clothing.
LOOK! HEEZE IS MODELING!! Haha Love yah Cuz!
Later that night I met up with Cameron House people for dinner and a movie. For some reason I didn’t take pictures, but I did take a picture of my fortune cookie that had NO fortune in it! One of my friends said “Guess you don’t have a future!” Aww…that sucks. Haha
We went to some yogurt place on Irving that just opened up. I was fascinated by the walls.
We ended up watching Kung Fu Panda after getting yogurt. It was pretty cute/funny. That’s the first animated movie I watched in a reeeeally long time. Wait until you see my next blog!
