Apple notebook lines to see major design changes, sources say
Published: 12:35 PM EST
Apple Inc.’s existing MacBook and MacBook Pro notebooks will be the last of their breed, as both product families are destined for major design changes upon their next refresh, AppleInsider has learned.
Of the two, the 13-inch consumer MacBooks will undergo the most significant metamorphosis, shedding their plastic enclosures for ones constructed from more eco-friendly materials such as aircraft-grade aluminum and stainless steel, people familiar with the matter say.
The move, which makes good on a promise by company chief executive Steve Jobs to push towards a “greener Apple,” will also mark an end to Macs that come clad in the now tawdry looking white enclosures that began with front face of original iMac nearly a decade ago.
Similarly, the MacBook Pro is also bound for aesthetic revisions, which like their upcoming MacBook counterparts are described by those familiar with the products as borrowing several design cues from the August 2007 aluminum iMacs and all-new MacBook Air. The end result, those same people say, will be a more uniform Mac product matrix in terms of design and material usage, and a MacBook offering that will far outclass its rivals.

my 21st bday for the 4th time
The day before my birthday I went out to dinner with the fam. Reg of course was my “date”. Haha
I love the random things you see in the city streets.
Headed to Marco Polo from some DELICIOUS gelato. If you never been to Marco Polo, it’s on Taravel and…23rd or something like that.
The flavors I got were Lychee and Strawberry. Deeeeelicious.
Later I headed out to Poleng with the folks. A shot for my birthday and a shot for JD.
After drinking a few shots of Henn…my neighbors decide to buy me a shot of patron…ahhhhh.
I was in the bathroom and I never realized the bathroom lights. Pretty dope I must say.
Kev was in town visiting from Hawaii!!
The day of my birthday we had a bbq at my house. Brandon brought Popsicles to share.
He totally took my Curious George home…haha.
Birthday cake time was traditional with Grandma sitting in front of me…
Thanks for celebrating my birthday with me!
RIP JD
This morning I got a message from my manager saying that another manager, named JD, got shot and killed last night…I couldn’t believe it. JD was my assistant manager when I first started working for Verizon and was currently the store manager at the Daly City store. The crazy thing is, is that I was supposed to be at the same bar that JD was at. My friends reggae band was performing at Underdogs on 19th and Irving. JD was there with some Verizon coworkers and I guess after the bar was closing, they headed to the pizza place across the street. I’m not exactly sure how everything went down, but it ended up with the loss of two lives. Here’s an article from SFGate.

Meanwhile, one man was killed and another injured in a shooting in San Francisco’s Excelsior District.

The names of those two victims have not yet been released by the police.
If you have any information about this, let me know…please. It’d be greatly appreciated.
RIP JD…you’ll be missed.
BULLSHIT!!
SUCH A BULLSHIT ASS CALL!!!! Grr…I watched the last few seconds of the game again on You Tube cause I wanted to see what the announcers thought about that last call and even they were saying that shit was the wrong call!!!! Stupid ass refs.
Warriors vs. Lakers
So I went to a Warriors game for the first time in a couple years. And technically it was only the second NBA game I’ve ever been to…that I know of. Anyways, my friend Brad was able to get me tickets through his friend that’s a season ticket holder. Got pretty damn lucky with them though cause originally his friend already had a buyer but they backed out. Sucks for them! Haha So I asked Mike if he wanted to go considering he’s a Laker’s fan. Boooo!
We stopped by Walmart and ended up walking by this…poor bird! It’s flat like a pancake 😦
The score at half time and a very excited fan. Haha
This picture reminds me of the Nintendo game Double Dribble…
The crowd was yelling “BEAT LA!!!” and it reminded me of being at a Giants vs. Dodgers game. Haha
I was getting all antsy and wanted to stand the whole time.
Ugh…pretty much the final score…
This is what we went to Walmart for. Mike wanted to get one of those blow horns to celebrate. Haha
BOOOOOOOOOO LAAAAKERS!!!!!!! But thanks for the jersey! Haha
Fun night.
At least we won the night before…
So the Warriors are playing the Mavericks on Sunday. Anyone down to go? It’s my birthday!!
So here’s the question. Warriors game? or BBQ?
Hmm…pondering…
4 Days of Spring Break
So Wednesday my optometrist called to let me know my glasses came in. I had a hard time choosing between two different frames…so I ended up getting both. One’s a little more funny, which you’ll see in pictures later, and these are a little more normal. Haha
The brand’s called Koali and for some reason these caught my attention. I think it’s because of the design on the sides and the colors. Anyways, I wore the other pair out that night.
So I haven’t really been going out as much because of school and work but I decided to go out this week because it was spring break. Felix was in town visiting from Long Beach so Wednesday night we ended up going to Etiquette lounge which my friend, and DJ, Chris Larot throws every Wednesday. He gave me and my friends a bottle of champagne which we pretty much finished in a good 10/15 minutes. Thanks again Chris! After the champagne came a couple pretty fat ass shots of Hennessey (thanks Tina). We ended up going to Skylark after where a friend of mine was celebrating his birthday. I didn’t have my camera though. Some how that night my camera ended up at Augs’ house.
Thursday night I went to grab a drink with Augs at Double Dutch. That was the first time in HELLA long that we went out by ourselves! Fun and random times with my wingman!!
Friday I went to BJs with Trae and Peter and then drank at a friends house later and just chilled.
Saturday Tracy and I went downtown and just walked around. Some kids that I guess are part of a drum corps or percussion line were performing. I used to LOVE percussion so this was pretty dope to me.
We walked up a couple blocks to The Hundreds store. They just opened on Thursday so I wanted to check it out. Was a pretty cool spot. I bought some socks.
That night I went with Trae and Peter to Miyake in Palo Alto for Muriel’s birthday. If you love sake bombs and a fun environment you might want to have your birthday at Miyake one of these days. Inside they make you stand on the chairs to take your sake bombs. Loud music and disco lights. And yes it’s a restaurant so they also have food.
Me, the birthday girl, and Trae
Ize, Heeze, Dom, and their cousin Rose met up with us at Blue Chalk after.
When we first walked into this place the whole dance floor was DEAD. By 1130 it was CRACKIN!
Arnelle and Ian picked me up and we headed to 111 Minna to meet up with the rest of the boys.
I’ve known this guy since 6th grade. And we still have class at school together. Haha
The boys…minus Kev, Lito, By, and Marc.
See what happens to my eyes when I’m drunk?
Another Carlo!! We were the best valets ever.
Now I haven’t seen this chick in awhile!!
The night didn’t end there. We headed to LC’s to eat…and of course my heffer ass got the fried chicked dinner meal. YUM!
That’s pretty much it for the end of the weekend. Today Reg took me and Marjie out for some dim sum and then we helped her build furniture for her new place. I didn’t have my camera, again, so I couldn’t take hilarious pictures of us trying to put her bed and dresser together. But it was pretty damn funny.
So tomorrow’s back to school. Sucks. But I’m going to the Warriors vs. Lakers game! YAY!
Keep yah posted.
Cats & Robot Dogs
Tuesday I worked another shift for the Asian American Film Festival @ the Clay theater on Fillmore. I got to watch a documentary called The Cats of Mirikitani. If you ever get to watch it, you should. It’s a great film following a Japanese American artist named Jimmy, living in the streets of New York. Everyday he draws, mostly of memories from the internment camps. It’s pretty interesting. I guess they showed the documentary last year at the festival but it was so good they did a private screening and Q&A;’s for a couple high schools. Check it out.
And then there are these robots that are gonna take over the world.
