Hello Tello
This past weekend I made a trip down to LA for Tello’s graduation. He graduated from Otis College of Art and Design. Friday was the senior showcase and it was AMAZING. Each floor had different things from concept art to product design and motion graphics. Tello does motion graphics and had his work on display. His video reel was awesome.

The next day was his grad.
We had his graduation lunch at The Grove where we hit up Pampas Grill…DELICIOUS. It was my first time @ Pinkberry! It was pretty damn good and probably the best froyo I’ve ever had.
I heard R.Patz was in LA this past weekend! If only I ran into him. Lol My trip to LA was too short. I never want to come home when I’m down there. Until next time LA!

My Big Bro & Star Trek
If you saw my old post on Star Trek the movie…you know I was excited for it to come out. So excited…I already watched it…TWICE. Lol. The movie just came out on Friday…I saw it that morning @ the 1am IMAX showing. Then again yesterday while I was in LA. All I have to say was that it was AWESOME. It’s one of those movies that keep you entertained and the special effects and graphics were amazing. Plus Chris Pine’s a hottie.
The first time I watched it we ended up staying for the credits. And what do you know…I end up seeing my brother’s name in the credits! Under “Concept Art”…Dave Yee. WTH?! He didn’t tell me he worked on Star Trek! So of course I had to ask him.
me: did you work on star trek?
bro: yes
me: thanks for telling me! lol
bro: did you see it?
me: i saw your name in the credits and was like “WHAT?!” hahahaha
bro: wow, you stayed to watch the credits?
me: yea my friends like to so we stayed haha
i saw the 1am showing last night on imax
bro: wow, 1am?
I brought my night class to see it. we skipped class to go
me: REALLY?!

My brother’s VERY talented. After working for ILM and working on movies such as Star Wars and Van Helsing, he left to become a freelance artist. Since then he’s still been contracted by ILM to work on many different projects and movies. He also teaches at his alma mater, SJSU (so if you’re an art major, take his class!). Good job on Star Trek bro!
The Going Ons
So I’ve been pretty busy lately. Midterms just passed a couple weeks ago, transferred to a new store for work, semester long projects are due and finals are coming up. But here’s just a run down of what i did the last few weeks.
Like I mentioned, HELLZ had their sample sale @ True on Haight. I strolled along as Rach’s date to meet up with Lawn and the HELLZ crew @ Cha Cha Chas for dinner.

After that we headed to 330 Ritch for the Hellz x Blvck Scvle party.
The ladies throwing up the W’s (for WTForks?!) just got back from Vancouver where they had an adventure on the New Moon (Twilight Saga) set and ran into some of the cast. Make sure you check out their site for all their updates and pictures! I sooooo missed out. Lol
Moving on, last weekend was Ceaze’s bday. Of course it ended up being a 3 day birthday celebration considering there were events going on Friday and Saturday. So Thursday night we headed to Bottom’s Up just for a midnight shot. Probably the only night out of those 3 nights where Ceaze was suuuuuuper drunk.
Friday was Ceaze’s real bday so we all headed out to the Giant’s game. According to Meesh…”Rockies suck cockies!” Lol It was raining…Augs bought a $7 pancho! $7 for a piece of plastic! I would’ve asked for a garbage bag. Lol
On to Saturday. Pacquiao vs. Hatton! We watched the fight at Ceaze’s house with his fam. Oyster’s & BBQ. Vodka & Beers.
That’s pretty much everything. Off to LA tomorrow. Woot!
Mos Def Concert
I SWEAR I’m everyone’s back up date. Don’t get me wrong here, I’m not complaining. I’m just saying. Haha I got lucky one time and my friend asked me to go to the Kanye concert the night before! This time Tina asked me if I wanted to go to the Mos Def concert @ the Mezzanine with her since our friend Augs couldn’t make it. So of course, I went. Which reminds me…I owe you $25 Tina.
So anyways, it was my first time there and the concert was dope. I took some videos so check em’ out!

She brought out a friend…DAVE CHAPPELLE! Lol
And of course…Mos Def…I recorded him when he first came out so there wasn’t a lot of him actually performing…but dancing around. LOL

I’m on the TWILIGHT Bandwagon.
The first time I heard about Twilight was when I was out to dinner with Rach and Abi. The movie wasn’t out yet and I believe Abi had just finished the first book. All I remember was them explaining what it was about…”Okay, so I know it sounds weird…but it’s a love story about a vampire and a girl”. And then they said something about how passionate it was. I’m not big on reading books, but when someone gets that excited about one it usually ends up on a list of books I know I should read.
When the movie came out I KNEW I should watch it. But knowing me, I lag on watching movies. When my friends plan to watch a movie, I’m usually busy. Or I don’t have anyone to watch it with. Haha By this time Yoshi, Rach and Lawn created a blog all about Twilight called What The Forks?! I posted their site a couple times and I was reading their blog without seeing the movie or reading the book.
For the longest time I was telling Yoshi and Rach that I was going to buy the movie. FAIL. Reg ended up giving me a copy of the movie and on Saturday night I decided to watch it (I know, I know…home on a Saturday night…but I wasn’t feeling good).
So there I sat…watching the movie that everyone had hyped me up on. I have to admit…there were some parts I laughed at when I wasn’t supposed to. Haha
The next day when I told Rach I FINALLY watched it…she asked “So…what’s the verdict?!”
My response…”Umm…I think I’m on TEAM EDWARD”
So yes my friends…I have joined the TWILIGHT bandwagon. I’m not as hardcore as the WTF?! ladies, but I still went out last night to buy the DVD (which I watched once last night after I got it and again this morning). And today I got the soundtrack and the book series. I NEVER say this…but I can’t wait to read the books!
So THANK YOU to the ladies of WTF?!…Yoshi, Raaachem, and Lawn!
I’m gonna go start reading while having R.Patz song “Never Think” on repeat…haha
My Friday
I’ve been living in my apartment for about 5 months and I still haven’t completely settled in. I have a corner full of shoe boxes and a big bin full of sweaters and sweatshirts. So I finally made an Ikea run and got a new dresser. Heeze came with me so he could help me lift the boxes. Haha
After we stopped by Ikea we headed to Oakland to visit our friend Evan @ the Adapt Clothing office.
