Skype Mobile
Last month I wrote a post announcing that Verizon teamed up with Skype to create Skype Mobile. After a month of waiting, the application finally launched yesterday. It allows you to do everything Skype does except for the video chat of course. But with this application you can do instant messaging, call other Skype users from your phone at no additional cost (even if they’re international), and even call land lines using money you have on your Skype account.
I decided to download it and give it a try. Instant messaging was no problem of course, but then I tried calling BFFiHK (who of course is in Hong Kong…in case you didn’t get that. Lol). When I asked him how the sound quality was when I called him he said “perfectly clear, but very digital”. To be honest I was a little surprised at his response. I know some people were thinking that it wasn’t going to be very clear and that the sound quality wasn’t going to be up to par, but I think this app is definitely an easy way to call internationally at no additional cost. Yea you can do that from Skype on your computer, but this is MOBILE. Use it anywhere you are.
Unfortunately this app’s only available for Verizon Blackberry and Android phones. If you’re lookin to switch over, holla at me! Lol
Smoothie Time
I hate when I go to Target and end up buying things I wasn’t planning to buy. Especially when you see something on sale and realize you want one and end up getting one NOT on sale. That’s what happened yesterday when I bought a blender.
I have no idea what I’m going to make nor have I ever blended anything in my life. So of course looking up recipes is the first thing to do. If you make smoothies or anything, please be my guest and share recipes! For now I’ll be looking at Smoothie Web and Smoothie Recipes Online. 🙂
Root Canal
Yesterday I had my first root canal. I’ve had a tooth ache for the last two weeks and I’m not exactly sure what was wrong with my root but I already had a filling on that tooth. Anyways, I’ve heard stories of people getting root canals saying it hurts and everything but I hardly felt a thing. I was so numb I couldn’t even feel my own lip. A little more than halfway through the procedure the doctor needed to take a couple x-rays and wait for something to dry. While he was doing that he went to check on another patient, so of course I took a picture of myself with the instruments in my mouth. Lol
First off, they put those glasses on me because the light was shining down the whole time. You can’t see it, but there’s this thing in my mouth that lets me rest my teeth on it so that I don’t strain myself trying to keep my mouth open that long. And that green thingie is crazy. It kept the tooth that they were working on separated from the other teeth! How it stayed in my mouth, I have no clue. But hope you got a giggle out of this! Lol
St. Patty’s Day + Muri’s Midnight Bday
I wasn’t really planning on doing anything for St. Patty’s day, but we had to celebrate half Tracy day! And because we usually celebrate birthday’s at midnight, I figured I should go out for Muri’s bday too. I met up with my friends at Irish Bank Bar and it was b-a-n-a-n-a-s. Luckily when I was walking through the crowd to meet my friends I was behind this big chick that was raging through the crowd and fist pumping to the music. So of course I followed close behind her so that she could get me through. Lol Once I got in I didn’t even wanna go outside to take a picture because it was so packed. Here’s a really bad pic though…hopefully you can see how crazy it was. And that was only one side.
The girls, the girls.
The boys.
Then off to KoKos
Miss Munn
I headed downtown with Reg to take some photos and while we were chillin in Union Square, we noticed that there were three or four video cameras around. Reg and I thought they were shooting a school project of something. There was this one girl I kept seeing and I kind of wanted to ask her if I could take a picture for her for a project I was working on, but I didn’t and got food instead. While I sat there eating my clam chowder, Reg pointed out that that girl was Olivia Munn. If you don’t know who she is, she’s a host on G4TV and also models and acts.At the end of last year she was also on the cover of The Hundreds first magazine issue. So of course our first reactions were to call or text our guy friends that are IN LOVE with her. Anyways, we were gonna ask if we could take a picture with her, but she walked away. We did our thang and walked around and we ended up running into her again. So Reg had the balls to ask her to take a picture with us.
(Reg and Olivia were standing on a step above me so that’s why I look short lol)
She was definitely GORGEOUS in person and her eyes were soooooo beautiful. She was super nice and talked to us for a bit about what she was working on out in Union Square. She was pretty funny too. After we left, Reg and I were talking about how all our guy friends like her…but now we think that maybe we like her too. Lol Keep doing your thing Olivia! Haha
