Beastie Boys-Make Some Noise
J sent me the link to this video along with a comment saying “best music video”. After watching it, it’s pretty entertaining considering how many actors are in it! Seth Rogan, Elijah Wood, Danny McBride, Orlando Bloom, and more! Their new album, Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, is set to release this May. Definitely something I might have to pick up!
Vintage Gucci
A couple things I WILL have in my lifetime is a new LV bag and Gucci bag. But with the Gucci bags I tend to like the vintage ones better.
I found this vintage Gucci bag online from the 1980’s Accessory Collection.
On the back of the tag is the serial numbers. In the early 80’s the serial number was on a paper tag that by now is hard to find on vintage Gucci bags. The tags as you can see wear out and sometimes fall off. Luckily this one is still pretty much intact. Next thing to research is how to clean this bad boy.
MOCHA & miSFits
My cousins from Vegas are here for spring break. You know, the little one’s I’ve been talking about and that I always visit when I’m in Vegas? I went to Mason’s third birthday last month when I was visiting for a bachelorette party but forgot to post photos from his birthday. This past Tuesday I met up my cousin and the kids at this place called Mocha (museum of childrens art) in Oakland yesterday. I had never heard of that place before but it seemed like a really cool place to bring kids. They have different stations where they can do arts and crafts. Mackenzie went to every station, decorating a basket, painting, glueing and playing with play-dough. Mason on the other hand was stuck at the play-dough station almost the whole time.
This little one was so worried about how his hair looked, his mom had to let him face time himself so he could check it.
After lunch I stopped by the Adapt office. Picked up some miSFit stickers on the way out. These die cut stickers are pretty dope and great to stick on a car window or laptop!
Cookies for a Cure
My friend Jessica Gee created C.U.M.F.O.R.T.S. (Contributing Unconditional Means For Research, Treatment, and Support) blanket when she joined Team in Training of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. With C.U.M.F.O.R.T.S. blanket, Jessica does not only fundraise to donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society but she also helps a person in need. With every monetary gift that someone contributes, Jessica hand crochets a 6″x6″ square. When a certain amount gets donated, each square is put together and turned into a blanket for someone that is battling leukemia. Each blanket represents $1,000 towards the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
This Saturday my good friend Regina is teaming up with Jessica to host a bake sale. Regina is a foodie and loves to bake so she is donating her time and delicious delights to help raise money for C.U.M.F.O.R.T.S. blanket. Both Jessica and Regina will be at Dolores Park in San Francisco this Saturday from 12pm-4pm. All items will be $1 and ALL PROCEEDS will be donated. So if you’re free, come out to enjoy a day in the park with delicious treats and help contribute for a good cause!
And P.S- Regina bakes really yummy treats!
Outside Lands 2011 Lineup
Every year San Francisco has a 3 day music and arts festival in Golden Gate Park called Outside Lands. I’ll admit that I’ve never gone, but living across the street from the park allowed me to hear the music, see a ton of people going to the festival, and enjoy hearing the crowd scream for various artists performing. Past events included bands and artists such as Kings of Leon, Chromeo, The Strokes, Incubus, Daves Matthews Band, M.I.A, Black Eyed Peas, Beastie Boys, and more. How do I know this since I’ve never been? I’ve been wanting to go for the past 2 years but I always decided too late and couldn’t get the days off. This year, I’m on it and Outside Lands has released the lineup for this August!
I believe the 3-day passes go on sale this Thursday April 14th at 12pm PST and I think tickets for single days will be at a later time. We’ll have to find out on Thursday!
LA LA Land.
Last weekend I headed to LA for a weekend getaway with some of the girls. It was a short trip so we didn’t get to do much, but we got to hang out with friends that we haven’t seen in awhile. Our friend Tello chilled with us on Saturday, and although he was home in The Bay the weekend before, it was nice to hang out with him down in LA. My girl Muri had never been anywhere in LA so we brought her to The Grove and Beverly Center. Our friend Rich also came to hang out for a bit!
After The Grove and The Beverly Center we stopped by Fairfax for the regular streetwear shops. Rich suggested Village Idiot for drinks and dinner so we headed there for some good beer and food. We headed back to the Omni Hotel downtown to get ready to hit up Hollywood. And btw, there were some Giants fans at our hotel. I think we won Saturday because we were all in LA…lol
We headed to My Studio on Hollywood Boulevard. It was a crazy fun night. So fun that I didn’t even leave our table or dance on the actual dance floor. Lol…it was crackin though..
My friend Jeff came out to party…I haven’t seen him since high school!
With Tello and Rich…thanks for hanging out with us guys!
The next morning we hit up Roscoe’s…you know me and fried chicken…it’s a must.
Muri’s bro and Augs’ cousin came by to eat with us!
All and all it was a nice little getaway. Next time I’ll be sure to stay longer so I can visit more people!
21+6
Thanks for the birthday greetings last week everyone! I haven’t had time to blog about it because I was hungover the next day, went to work the day after that and then headed to LA for the weekend. I actually didn’t do much on my birthday but the night before was when I partied. We headed to Sloane Tuesday night for my midnight birthday shot. I don’t know what I was thinking trying to go snowboarding the next day (which btw, didn’t happen)! Thanks to everyone who came out. I realized what great friends and support I have in my life. 🙂
